Influenza B neuraminidase active site

The sialic-acid analogue DANA bound in the active site of influenza B/Beijing/1/87 neuraminidase (PDB 1F8B), with the residues that contact it shaded by distance:

• dark red — direct contact (< 3 A)
• red — within 3.5 A
• light red — within 4 A

Blue sites carry insertion codes (169A, 412A, 412B), showing that author numbering with insertion codes is addressed correctly. The green sugar is the first residue of an N-glycan; naming it in the CSV replaces its 3D-SNFG symbol with a plain ball-and-stick in the CSV color, while the other sugars keep their SNFG symbols.
